About AIIP

Unlocking the value of big data will dramatically improve business productivity and impact company's bottom line significantly. Capitalizing on the Industrial Internet, however, requires a new suite of skills – Data Exploration, Machine Learning Methods, Industrial Application Development and more. Developed by ALU and powered by GE, the AIIP programme is targeted at empowering participants to develop the requisite skills for building applications for the Industrial Internet. The programme is developed with a focus on Africa and involves helping Africans make sense of the data and information and leveraging their technical skills to provide solutions and harness opportunities. To enhance the learning experience and ensure the students understand concepts effectively, AIIP adopts Projects based learning. The opportunity for the students to apply theories learnt to real-world cases experienced in industries enables them to contextualise the concepts and also apply critical thinking and problem solving skills.
