About African Leadership College (ALC)

The African Leadership College (ALC) is ALU’s inaugural campus based in Mauritius. ALC offers accredited undergraduate degree programmes through its founding academic partner, Glasgow Caledonian University. The campus opened its doors to its first class of students in October 2015 with 173 students in the inaugural class of 2015. Today we have over 300 students hailing from 35+ different nationalities. ALC’s main campus was inaugurated in early 2018 and is located in Pamplemousses, the northern region of Mauritius. It is a fully residential campus with state-of-the-art facilities including modern classrooms, labs with cutting edge technology and fully-equipped dorms overlooking greeny of the sugarcane fields not too far from the beautiful beaches.
ALC uses a personalized, student-driven, project-based, and mission-oriented approach to create agile, lifelong learners who can adapt to a changing world. Ultimately, it aims to develop 3 million ethical and entrepreneurial leaders for Africa and the world by 2035.

About Cim Finance Ltd.

Cim Finance is a non-bank financial institution (NBFI) that offers financial solutions to consumers, SMEs and large corporates. The business has more than 600 employees and over 85 counters (points of sale) spread across Mauritius & Rodrigues. Cim Finance started retail credit activities in 1987 as one of the first companies to offer hire purchase in Mauritius. Cim Finance was a pioneer in the Mauritius leasing market when it started offering leasing in 1996.

Cim Finance was the first NBFI in sub-Saharan Africa issue MasterCard and Visa credit cards, and the first financial institution to issue China UnionPay credit cards in Africa. Cim Finance is the only NBFI to offer domestic and export Factoring solutions to a range of SME and corporate clients

CIM FINANCE LEADERSHIP BURSARY 2019

Cim Finance Ltd, in partnership with the African Leadership College, is offering two full-tuition scholarships to Mauritian students every year as part of the CIM Finance Leadership Bursary. Through this initiative, we aim to develop entrepreneurial and visionary Mauritian leaders who will bring about the transformation we need for a sustainable future.

Full-tuition scholarships will be offered to Mauritian students who exhibit exceptional leadership potential and enroll in the following degree programmes:

  • BA (Hons) Business Management

  • BSc (Hons) Computing

  • BA (Hons) Social Sciences

APPLY TO ALC TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR FULL-TUITION SCHOLARSHIP

Scholarship Award

  • 2 full-tuition scholarships, each to the value of USD10,000 per year, which includes all program costs (including tuition fees and residence boarding), excluding any personal expenses that the candidate may incur

  • Yearly Internships at Cim Finance Ltd

  • Mentoring & coaching program

  • Minimum of 3 years employment with Cim Finance Ltd after successfully graduating

  • Loan facilities should you not be successful in obtaining a Scholarship via Cim MiStudy loan

Scholarship Terms

  • Applicant/Parent must be a Cim Finance Ltd Client with valid account number

  • Must have graduated from secondary school and be between the ages of 18 – 23 years old

  • Passed a final national secondary school exam and graduated from secondary school

  • Passed at least grade O level Math or equivalent

  • Passed at least three A levels subjects or equivalent (TEC changes their requirements

  • For BSc (Hons) Computing Science: a B grade in A Level (or equivalent) Math is prerequisite
